The new Yeongjong–Sindo bridge is open to bicycles

Riders can now cross between Yeongjong and Sindo without taking the ferry, but the bridge path is shared with pedestrians.

The 3.26 km Yeongjong–Sindo Peace Road opened on July 14 with a pedestrian-and-bicycle shared path, giving Sindo its first fixed road connection to Yeongjong.

What opened

Incheon completed the road at the end of June and opened it to traffic at 14:00 on July 14 after joint safety checks. The 3.26 km link includes a 2.07 km marine bridge.

The city describes it as a normal two-lane road that can be used by cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. People walking and cycling use the shared path alongside the vehicle lanes.

Rider take

We have not ridden the bridge, so there is no claim here about surface quality, wind exposure, entry layout, or how comfortable it feels in traffic.

The shared-path label matters. Follow the signs, slow down around people walking, and do not treat it like a bike-only lane just because the bridge is new. New concrete does not settle right-of-way arguments.
