The three named bike-road sections are not rideable now. K-water gives no detour and has not closed the whole Ara route.
K-water closed three named Ara Waterway bike-road sections from 16:00 on August 31 because of forecast rain.
K-water closed Aramaru Observatory and the Ara Waterfall metal stairs from 13:00 on August 31.
The following bicycle-road sections closed from 16:00:
The west/left-bank Gulpo-cheon connector waterway bike road. The north-side bike road from Sicheon Bridge to Gyeyang Bridge. The south-side bike road from Sicheon Bridge to Wildflower Terrace.
The closure continues until the weather eases and K-water completes a facility inspection. The notice does not give a reopening time or an official diversion.
Do not plan to pass through one of the three named sections until K-water posts a reopening. The notice does not say that every part of the Ara Waterway bike route is closed, so avoid extending the warning beyond those limits.
K-water's separate weather-closure criteria explain that rain or snow can trigger access restrictions at these facilities, with reopening after conditions improve and an inspection. In wet weather, the live notice matters more than an older status update.
Check the live notice before setting out. Cycling Korea has not field-checked the barriers or nearby surfaces.
